August 2003 For the first time ever, Susan, Louis and Ryan collaborated and created a complete 360 mural. Through sweat, tears, and a little artistic squabbling, they finally achieved their goal of a painting that creates the illusion of an under and above water environment, complete with tropical fish and a wave crashing overhead. July 2003 Susan and Louis collaborate on an elaborate painting to be used as the set design for Jeff Corriveau and the Virginia Opera. Our thanks to the Virginia Opera for their vision and support. Louis, Susan and Ryan were invited to participate in Michael Reagan’s appearance at Jillian’s in downtown Norfolk. Mr. Reagan spoke and signed his book while Louis signed his “Freedom”prints for the crowd. June 2003 Susan, Louis and Ryan are honored to be chosen by local legend Pete Smith, and Surf Enterprises, to be the in- house artistic and design team for “The Pete Smith”. The first release of these endeavors will be in August 2003 at the East Coast Surfing Championships. www.thepetesmith.com May 2003 Louis creates his third in a series of patriotic images entitled “Freedom” for the “Rally for America” here in Norfolk. The posters became an image of hope to locals as well as our military during this time of war. All proceeds from the sale of the posters went to benefit military charities. they chose
to use Louis’

exactly as
it was originally
shown in
the hardcover
version.
It too has
now risen
to the number
one spot
on the New

Bestsellers
List.
Again, we
are honored
to be a part
of this creative
masterpiece
by John Grisham,
and would
like to publicly
thank him
for his support
as well as
that of Doubleday
and Dell
Publishers. February 2001 In February 2001, John Grisham’s “A Painted House” was released in hardcover by Doubleday Publishing House. Mr. Grisham selected Louis Jones to create the mood setting illustration for the title page. As is standard for a Grisham novel, the book went straight to number one on the New York Times Bestsellers List. Needless to say, this success and our part in this project here at Louis and Susan Jones Art thrills us.
