Much has been made of the famous Jones family - three generations of internationally renowned painters from Hampton Roads, Virginia. Patriarch Herb, son Louis, daughter-in-law Susan, and grandson Ryan have sold the paintings and prints around the world, are revered by galleries, museums, and art patrons.

They are a tight-knit family. Louis, Susan, and Ryan own and operate the Jones Art Gallery at Town Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The gallery/studio is a unique venue for the Joneses. From its raw industrial feel, concrete and steel, to the contrasting explosion of colors of their nature-based paintings. Their daily routines are devoted to painting, music, and to each other. Ryan started drawing before he could walk. The family also loves to create music. Herb and Louis used to take painting breaks and play the guitar and banjo. Louis' rock group played the Hampton Coliseum and toured the East Coast. Louis, Susan, and Ryan write, sing, and record their own music in their home-based recording studio. They all like Pepsi. They all like fishing. They all paint.

They are the "real deal". They are artists. Their passion and enthusiasm is inspirational and contagious to their many fans worldwide.

"We've found that if we paint the things we love, others respond in the same spirit. We're a lot like you. We love the colors of early spring, a soft breeze on our cheeks, the laugh of a child. When you view our work, it's really true that every picture tells a story. As our Web site expands, we'll tell you our stories if you tell us yours. Who knows, they're probably the same story."
